Location and How to get there
Glasgow Necropolis is located on the eastern edge of Glasgow City Centre.
The main gates lie behind St Mungo’s Museum of Religious Life and Art, and adjacent to Glasgow Cathedral. The Post Code of the Necropolis is G4 0UZ.

On Foot
From George Square:
Walk up North Hanover Street along the right-hand side of the Millenium Hotel and Queen Street Station. At the traffic lights turn right and walk along to the end of Cathedral Street then turn right and walk towards Provand’s Lordship. Cross at the lights to and walk towards St Mungo’s Museum of Religious Life and Art.

By Bus:
Buchanan Street Bus Station is within walking distance. Leave by one of Killermont Street entrances. (Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and John Lewis are oppposite the Killermont Street entrances.) Turn left and walk until you reach the end of Killermont Street. Cross at lights and turn right down North Hanover Street. Take the first left and walk along to the end of Cathedral Street then turn right and walk towards Provand’s Lordship. Cross at the lights to and walk towards St Mungo’s Museum of Religious Life and Art.

There are a number of buses which leave from the city centre and elsewhere that pass near to the Necropolis.

The City Sightseeing Tour Bus stops near the Necropolis. Use the Cathedral stop-off point.

By Subway (Underground): Nearest subway station is 15-20 minutes' walk away at Buchanan Street. Exit station from Buchanan Galleries entrance. Walk straight ahead and turn right when you reach Sainsbury’s supermarket. Walk along Cathedral Street to the end. Turn right and walk towards Provand’s Lordship. Cross at the lights and walk towards St Mungo's Museum of Religious Life and Art.

By Train:
High Street Station (10 minute walk)
On exiting the station turn right and walk up High Street until you reach to St Mungo's Museum of Religious Life and Art.

On exiting the station by the North Hanover Street entrance turn left and walk up North Hanover Street. At the traffic lights, turn right and walk along to the end of Cathedral Street then turn right and walk towards Provand’s Lordship. Cross at the lights to and walk towards St Mungo’s Museum of Religious Life and Art.
Central Station (20-30 minute walk)
On exiting station from Gordon Street entrance, turn right and walk towards the end of Gordon Street. When you reach Borders Bookshop, turn left and walk up Buchanan Street. When you reach Sainsbury’s supermarket turn right and walk along Cathedral Street to the end. Turn right and walk towards Provand’s Lordship. Cross at the lights and walk towards St Mungo's Museum of Religious Life and Art.
